Duo Charged In Fallston Break-Ins Face More Burglary Charges

Police believe Krystal Derlunas and Joseph Wright are responsible for four separate burglaries that took place in the Fallston, Jarrettsville and Baldwin areas between May and July.

Two people arrested and charged last month in connection with breaking into a Fallston home are facing additional charges after police say stolen property linked them to three other Harford County burglaries.

Police believe the pair was scouting other potential burglary locations in Fallston and Forest Hill in the time leading up to the July burglary, according to a release from the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Joseph H. Wright, 32, of the 2900 block of Andover Road in Forest Hill and Krystal M. Derlunas, 29, of the 2600 block of Kenwood Drive in Joppa were both charged with first-degree burglary and theft between $1,000 and $10,000 in connection with the July incident, online court records show.

At the time of their arrest, Wright and Derlunas were under surveillance by police and investigators suspected the pair may have been involved in other cases in the Fallston and Jarrettsville areas, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

Investigators later recovered stolen property that links Derlunas and Wright to a July 3 burglary in the 1600 block of Steeplechase Drive in Jarrettsville, a June 24 burglary in the 2800 block of Baldwin Mill Road in Baldwin and a May 19 burglary in the 3200 block of Clay Court Jarrettsville, a second release from the sheriff's office states.

Both Derlunas and Wright were charged with burglary, theft and malicious destruction of property in connection with these three burglaries.

Wright was being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center Wednesday. Derlunas was also being held at the detention center in lieu of $75,000 bond.
