Seeking Service Project Funds, Scout to Host Car Wash

Nick Padgett plans to lead landscaping of a Joppa church.

A Boy Scout is holding a car wash in Aberdeen to raise money for his Eagle Scout project.

Nick Padgett, a member of Troop 518 in Joppa, will hold a car wash Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gino's Burgers and Chicken at 1013 Beard's Hill Road, according to a release to the media.

Padgett's project involves landscaping outside Sovereign Grace Church in Joppa, where Troop 518 meets. You can read more and donate to the effort on his Indiegogo page. The project is slated to cost approximately $2,000.
